Madrid, Spain

My three-day visit to Madrid last summer combined personal explorations of the city, guided cultural tours, and a curated day in the countryside to create a layered narrative of the region. The content captured here demonstrates how a short urban/rural stay can be shaped into cohesive destination storytelling — blending architecture, heritage, daily life, and surrounding landscapes into multi-channel travel content.

Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    • Arrival and city overview: Open-top panoramic bus tour to view all major Madrid landmarks and learn the street layout, cultural sites, and architectural points of interest.
  • Day 2:
    • Royal heritage: Guided skip-the-line tour of the Royal Palace, focusing on architectural details, scale, and history.
    • Active exploration: Small-group e-bike tour through plazas, parks, and markets for up-close and relaxed experiences with the city’s landmarks and stories.
    • Evening atmosphere: A Madrid Oscuro” (aka a Ghost tour) revealing the city’s darker folklore and history through dramatic street settings and night lighting.
  • Day 3:
    • Countryside contrast: Full-day winery tour visiting three family-run vineyards, demonstrating the rural landscape and traditional winemaking process.

Each experience added a layer to Madrid’s story — the royal grandeur, the street life, the countryside charm — all moments that can be translated into compelling editorial and visual content.

Let’s talk about your vision.

Great destination storytelling starts with understanding your priorities and goals. If you’re developing a campaign or looking to showcase your region through integrated written and visual content, let’s start the conversation.
