Derek Cadzow is a creative storyteller, photographer, and filmmaker whose work bridges journalistic integrity with visual artistry.

He’s trained in journalism and photography, with experience across multiple forms of communication, including employee relations, public relations, marketing, and technical subjects. A graduate of the Washington School of Photography, Derek is fluent in Final Cut Pro and iMovie, and experienced with DaVinci Resolve.

Derek has captured everything from corporate portraits to the speed and precision of motorsports, shooting for publications and organizations such as Cary Magazine, ASC Motorsports, and automobilsport.com. He’s owned two photography studios — Love and Life Photography and Eloquent Moments — specializing in weddings, editorial, and commercial imagery.

Today, Derek produces photography and web content for small businesses and tourism partners through his ventures Atlantic Destinations and Spine and Leaf Media.

His work focuses on authentic storytelling to help travel brands, tourism boards, and local enterprises bring their destinations and stories to life through compelling visuals and thoughtful digital presentation.
